It brings to mind an old TV commercial from the 1960&#039;s, which was for the headache reliever &quot;Anacin,&quot; where the daughter-in-law snaps: &quot;Mother, I&#039;d rather do it myself!&quot;  She should have tried your recommended techniques (but then I guess she wouldn&#039;t have needed Anacin to deal with her mother-in-law).  In an advice column in the morning newspaper, one person wrote in wondering how to do with in-laws that do a &quot;clean-up&quot; and &quot;fix-up&quot; of her house every time they visit.  It is intended to be a gesture of kindly helpfulness, but the letter writer felt criticized and belittled.]]></description>
